Since 1955, Troop 433 has been providing an enriched scouting program for young men 11 years of age or older or entering the 6th grade.
Troop 433 is charted by the Church of St. Clare, located in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Currently, 24 Scouts comprise 4 active patrols, with boys coming together from numerous surrounding communities – Lyndhurst, Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, South Euclid, University Heights and Cleveland Heights.
Troop 433 maintains an active year round outdoors/activities program, has weekly meetings, and performs multiple service projects to various communities. Scouts participate in the yearly Klondike Competition, attend summer camp, hike, hold cooking workshops and participate at Philmont. Monthly camp out themes include shooting sports, zip lining, white water rafting, spelunking, small boat sailing, aviation, backpacking, C.O.P.E. and punkin-chunkin, to name a few. The Troop service projects include Memorial Day cemetery flag planting, organizing/running a yearly pancake breakfast to raise monies for Church of St. Clare outreach program, Flag Day flag retirement, attending Pearl Harbor Day ceremonies and annual yard clean-up for Temple Israel.
One of Troop 433’s most unique activities is running, cooking and serving the annual Church of St. Clare Lenten Fish Fry for six weeks. Thanks to the generosity of the Church of St. Clare, Scouts are able to earn monies to pay for their summer camp and other yearly outings all whilst learning the how to operate a large production event.
